Do I really love this shitty city?

I am so Sick, . sick sick sick. . .sick about this city, eventhough I’ve been said to all of my friends about how I love Surabaya so much, but deep down, I buried a lot of dissapointment. Like this :

That was just a single picture, a single piece that reflecting my culmination madness towards this shitty city.

Oh well, the object was the building progress of ‘Grand City’, another new shopping arcade wannabe of Surabaya. Dibangun diatas lahan tengah kota dengan luas beberapa hektar meter persegi yang-saya-tidak-tahu-berapa-persisnya. The thing that made me truly medly deeply dissapointed was this building was happened on the land that previously a forest. Well not literally a forest where you can found Orang Utan or Tarzan living on a tree but it is the kind of a land that grew a LOT of big trees, some of them even in an extreme huge size. Eventually, everything just cut down into useless piece of trunk that maybe ended up in your living room or becoming kayu bakar buat masak air, thanks to the heartless green eyed developer or the local goverment for giving such a permit.

Aku kecewa, hatiku menangis. . .-hiperbolis mode on- ..but you know what, as far as I realized, this city was going nowhere but becoming a shitty city even more. Yes I do love shopping, but I dont need a more shopping arcade! Yeah, I love eating out or hanging out or strolling around in the mall, but it doesnt mean that I NEED a new one.

I’m imagining that Surabaya having a spot like New York’s Central Park..the place, in the middle of the city surrounded with a well organized high rise building district cluster. The new york’s central park looks a like where I can take walk with my niece conviniently and feeding a swan with a bread, and having a good time about it. The place where there is a fresh air, cool breeze, the sound of chirping bird and falling leaves. . .

Having an Ice skating on its lake in a winter, . . oh yeah I remember there is no winter here. . so lets dreamin about menggelar tikar and enjoying nasi anget complete with telur asin and abon while its summer

YOU JUST HAVE NO IDEA how desperate Surabaya civilian needs for this kind of place. A free area that they can enjoy their spare time conviniently. . just see Taman Bungkul. .for you who dont know, Taman bungkul merupakan area makam-lapangan dengan luas yang tidak terlalu lebar. Dibuat sedemikian rupa dan difungsikan untuk ‘ruang terbuka’ bagi penduduk kota. . .a simple things like that tapi sering Ruuaaammmeee banget. .sometimes it’s too crowd as if it’s a pasar malem minggu.

Oh my God for the sake of Didi Kempot, . .Whoever you, an East Java governor wannabe (we will be having an election), . .I hope you read my plea and grant it. . .
